About Kinetic Muse
Kinetic Muse Studio springs organically from the unique journey Matt Goodrich has taken as a lifelong performer and educator. The idea of a studio-playground to holistically support performers in honing their craft came to him in a single “download” more than 20 years ago—including the name Kinetic Muse. A highly original thinker, Matt has from an early age distilled and replicated processes leading to excellence and synergy in music, performance, education, communication, and wellness. A passionate teacher, he is dedicated to sharing the information and tools that assist all in joyfully and transcendentally achieving their performance desires and dreams while honoring their whole selves.
Dr. Goodrich holds a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from Oberlin College Conservatory, and a Master of Music and Doctor of Musical Arts in Piano Performance from University of Washington. He is a graduate of Integrative Alexander Technique Studio of Seattle and earned Alexander Technique International Teaching Certification in 2017. An accomplished wordsmith with an extensive corporate background in editorial quality assurance, he is keenly aware of the powerful effects of language on human coordination. He is a teaching member of Alexander Technique International (ATI), a founding member of Integrative Alexander Technique Circle (IATC), and currently serves as editor for ATI’s biannual journal ExChange. Matt has also edited three books on the Alexander Technique as well as other books on music for an assortment of publishing houses.
